Clarence Spady is a living legend. He describes his talents as “a gift.”
His innate ability to construct, interpret and convey a story through music, creating sophisticated arrangements using rhythm and blues, soul, jazz, funk, rock and country, is masterful.
Clarence Spady is more than a musician and I regarded as an artist by his peers, fans and critics, alike.
Clarence Spady is a W.C. Handy Award nominee for best Blues Artist of the Year and is on the list of the Top 100 Most Gifted Guitarist You Should Know. His title song from his first album “Nature of the Beast” was chosen one of the top 100 blues songs of all time by Blues Review on the list with “The Thrill is Gone” and “Dust My Broom.” He was recognized as Best Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year for his second album “Just between Us.” He has received France’s Blues Trophy for “Best New International Blues Artist of the Year. He has been declared “the future of the blues” by Bill Dahl of the Chicago Tribune and has been inducted into the NYC Blues Hall of fame.
